Aizenkai Branch

The Aizenkai founded its first branch in Kathmandu in 1974, and is presently active in four Nepalese towns. The Aizenkai’s chief activity in Nepal is supporting free health clinics and aid for poor children.

Joint Ceremonies in Kathmandu and Lumbini, 1978-1979

On February 16, 1978, and again on February 28, 1979, Oomoto led joint worship services in Kathmandu and Lumbini, the birthplace of Sakyamuni Buddha. These ceremonies were among the first ever to combine Hinduism, Buddhism, and Shinto.

World Hindu Conference, Bali 1992

Although Indonesia is predominantly an Islamic nation, there is also an ancient tradition of Hinduism, which survives on the island of Bali.

In September 1992, Kimio Matsumoto from Oomoto attended the World Hindu Conference held in Bali.
