In spite of the global reach of its interfaith and arts activities, Oomoto has relatively few followers living outside of Japan. The one exception to this is Brazil, home to many descend-ants of Japanese immigrants. Oomoto’s São Paulo Head-quarters has a membership of close to one thousand followers from throughout Brazil.
Established in the city of Jandira, São Paulo on October 13, 1957, the Brazil headquarters serves as a center for Oomoto festivals and services, doctrinal study meetings, weddings, and other events in the life of the Oomoto community.
