It is highly regrettable that U.S. forces began attacking Iraq without a second resolution from the United Nations Security Council.
We at Oomoto have been conducting daily prayer services for world peace, and we kept praying to avoid a war.
We now pray to God day and night for the immediate termination of this war, which will cost many valuable, irreplaceable lives.
Humanity must make every effort to protect the dignity of all life, to put an end to this war and to stop using war as a means to settle its differences.
We ceaselessly aspire to a fair international society constructed on the grounds of law and justice, denying war and violence.
